Course aims

The aim of the traineeship abroad is to create the prerequisites for implementation of knowledge and skills acquired in the university in the work environment through the implementation of international experience, and to create preconditions for independent professional development.

Brief description of the course

Traineeship abroad can be executed in different types of public- and private sector institutions. The goals, activities and planned outcomes of the traineeship will be agreed by the student, university supervisor and practice organization.

Traineeship abroad assumes the skills for foreign language. Traineeship should be done abroad. Foreign students cannot do the traineeship abroad in their home country.

Specific requirements for the Traineeship Abroad are depending on the content and requirements of the professional placement course in student’s study programme.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice;
- is able to complement themselves independently;
- develops foreign language skills and tolerance to attitudes and values diversity.
