Obtain practical skills and theoretical knowledge in area of graphical information processing and to develop individuality and creativity.
Brief description of the course
Computer graphics concept map. Computer graphics application areas. Relations between computer graphics and traditional art. Basic principles of composition, design and color theory. Color space and color models. Graphic file formats and application areas. Vector and raster graphics. CorelDraw and Adobe as professional packages for computer graphics. Training tasks inside vector and raster graphics application areas: from problem to solution. Implementation media for training includes CorelDraw, AI, Photopaint, and Photoshop. Vector and raster graphics objects and possibilities to create animations. Basics of 3D graphics on the development level. Ray Tracing and package PovRay.
Fixation acquired experience and develop 4 artefacts.
Learning outcomes in the course
Basic knowledge about computer graphics and its main concepts - Ability to solve assignments in the field of graphic information processing - Is able to visualize their thoughts and messages graphically.
Exam. The score has two components: 15 solved exercises in portfolio (50%) and individual homework (50%).
