Brief description of the course
Subject and methods of physics: models, language, causality. Motion and causes of motion of macroscopic bodies; Newtons laws. Motion of the systems of the bodies – the kinetic theory of gases, characteristics of state of matter. Condensed molecular systems. Heat – kinetic energy of the chaotic movement of particles. Electromagnetism: electrically charged particles and their motion in magnetic and electrical fields. Duality of light – flux of the particles versus electromagnetic wave. “Stones” of the microscopic world – fundamental particles. Principles of the quantum mechanics. Relativity in the world: postulates of relativity, equivalence of energy and mass and curved space-time. Big Bang, structure and evolution of Universe. Applications of principles of physics in other fields.
