Introducing basic functionalities.
Brief description of the course
Robotics Technologies and platforms, their specialities. Automated systems in everyday life. Input and output devices: LED, motors, piezos. Basic skills in electronics. Programming Arduino UNO. Developing environment and Processing language. Digital and analoog channels. Additional shields to Arduino. Data communication with computer through COM-port. Creating applications with unusual input devices. Designing and creating devices.
Independent work
Developing graphical user interface to devices. Finishing prototypes started in classes.
Learning outcomes in the course
- Knows different input and output devices, also basic terms in robotics and electronics;
- Can design and develop intelligent devices, which respond differently due input data;
Assessment methods
To get a positive result in the course, students must create and present devices wich were researched in the classroom. Resolve test and participate in the seminar.
