Course aims

Give an overview about psycholgoy of learning and teaching.

Brief description of the course

1. Cognitive, social, and motivational processes related to learning. Their development.
2. Learning process and individual differences
3. Characteristics of teaching methods and their usage

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview of contemporary theories of cognitive, social, and motivational processes of learning;
- knows specifics of these process at different age periods;
- can describe the process of learning;
- knows learning-related idividual differences;
- differentiates between teaching methods and can evaluate their suitability for specific learners.
