Course aims

To support the development of general didactics´ base and core skills of planning, analysing and developing of learning action as a teacher. To create conditions for formation of educational-technological knowledge and skills which are expected from today´s teachers´.

Brief description of the course

Various learning conceptions. Modern learning paradigm. Learning process and factors affecting it. Teacher´s role in creating the learning environment of conducive learning. Learning exercises. Lesson planning. Study/lesson targeting. Bases of learning methods´ selection. The functions and methods of learning outcomes control and feedback at school. Differentation and individualization of teaching. Principles and nature of didactics. Possibilities of educational technology in shaping learning environment. Learning and teaching in e-learning environment. E-school.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- Knows the principles of general didactics and their application standpoints for desining an implementing and supportive learning environment;
- Is able to target and plan the lesson based on students and aim of learning activity;
- Knows and is able to use educational technology to diversify the learning environment;
- Is able to analyze the learning process, learning tasks and choice of the methods of aim goal and justification.
