Course aims
Form a frame of social psychological processes and phenomena (teaching and education process management, group processes) in school and accurate approach in case of students´ problematic behavior. Form basic knowledge about main counselling skills for being the primary facilitator for students and a supporter for colleagues and parents.
Brief description of the course
Management concepts, management functions. Different approaches to management styles. Group, group processes´consideration in teacher´s work. Evaluation of teacher´s effective communication skills. Councelling activity in teachers work, its essence and purpose. Various forms of assistance. Consulting of parents and teachers. Stages of councelling process. Main skills and personality qualities of counsellor.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to analyze social-psychological problems in school;
- is able to analyze proper and efficient operating in problematic situations in school environment
- has the basic knowledge on main counselling skills to be the initial facilitator for pupils, supporter for colleagues and parents in school.
