Course aims

To give overview of using educational technology possibilities in school and in teacher’s professional practice,
to develop through practice-based creative and collaborative tasks different professional competences of teachers based on ISTE competence model,
to involve future teachers into the activities of professional community to support their professional development.

Brief description of the course

The course uses flipped classroom model – the contact-based teaching takes place during three study sessions when students are actively involved in creative tasks under the facilitator’s supervision (both individual assignments and group assignments). Individual studies take place between study sessions and involve video-lectures, active online discussions and reflective tasks.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can use pedagogical and domain-related knowledge and digital technologies to plan, develop and analyze the learning process and the assessment of learning with digital technologies, aiming for the development of students‘ digital and learning competencies, creativity and innovation.
. can present knowledge and skills in using applications that are suitable for the innovative professional in digital society;
- knows and can guides students ‚ digitally responsible and safe behaviours;
- improves personal competences of using ICT and participates creatively in the professional community of educators.
