- a total of 60 ECTS in two subjects for a teacher with two minors. If the aforementioned prerequisite has not been fulfilled, a level module must be completed.
- a total of 84 ECTS in two subjects for a teacher with two minors and an additional competence.
- a total of 108 ECTS in two subjects for a teacher with three minors.
- a total of 30 ECTS of subject preparation in one subject and passing the Noored Kooli development program for a teacher with one minor and elective course.
If the mentioned requirement is not met, a leveling module must be completed during the studies.
An entrance exam is an admission requirement.

During the studies, students are required to pass at least one course which uses a foreign language as the language of instruction. Students who have not graduated from upper secondary schools where Estonian is the language of instruction, or who have graduated from schools where Estonian is only partly the language of instruction, are required to have Estonian language proficiency at C1 level.
