Course aims

The major part of biodiversity aroses from different specises of different parts of World. By understanding of these biodiversity rules can incorporate evoluitional-ecologic and geographic-geologic knowledge into unified world-view.

Brief description of the course

Evolutional-geographic background of biodiversity. Main rules in biogeography. Biogeographic regions of terrestial and marine life. Human influence to biodiversity.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has skills to give a causes of regional differences of biodiversity;
- knows main characteristics of biogeographical regions.
