Course aims

To create a base for Sports science research planning and conducting.

Brief description of the course

The scientific method. The truth, theory, prediction, observation and probability. Quantitative and qualitative pradigma. Data, information, knowledge.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and understands the basic concepts of research;
- has knowledge in selection of research methods;
- knows technical, content and ethical requirements for research;
- has knowledge of major methods of data collection and analysis;
- is able to plan and technically prepare research paper.
