Course aims
The aim of the course is to help the students to develop skills to start their bachelor thesis.
Brief description of the course
The essence of the course is a bachelor's thesis research project. Lectures will introduce foundations’ of preparing bachelor thesis and its requirements, selection of the research object, questions related with research problem identification and formulation of research tasks, topics related with academic information databeses and refernce systems, critical reading and text referring. The seminars consist of the execution and supervision of thesis and research articles databases and their use. In workshops, students have the possibility to discuss a research project related problems, present their bachelor research project.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- develops a good research topic and formulates valid research questions;
- designs and presents a research project;
- can work with scientific literature;
- is able to create a literature review with select articles that supports the research purpose.
