Brief description of the course
The process and stages of policy-making and policy analysis. Structuring policy problems - the types of policy and the methods of structuring. Agenda setting. The methods of proposal for policy choices. Different perspectives of decision-making process analysis. Policy instruments and implementation. Legitimacy, policy actors and lobbing. Methods of policy evaluation and monitoring. Valuing policies, different monitoring.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- orientates the literature of policy making;
- understands the model of the policy making process and the logic of its stages, and is able to understand and analyse public policy within the framework of policy making process;
- presents and argues their research findings.
