Course aims

To provide students with information needed to plan their research process, to to choose theoretical frame, methods and analyse results.
Enable students to use this knowledge to develop and discuss their own research.

Brief description of the course

Main areas of studies and their theoretical frames: discussion of concreat cases.
Permit students to read, discuss and understand literature in mathematics education research.
How to plan and carry out empirical studies.
How to analyse and formulate the results. Defence procedures.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can plan and carry out their master study;
- can formulate theoretical frame of the study;
- can analyse, interprete and formulate the results.
