Course aims
To provide students with information needed to plan their research process, to to choose theoretical frame, methods and analyse results.
Enable students to use this knowledge to develop and discuss their own research.
Brief description of the course
Main areas of studies and their theoretical frames: discussion of concreat cases.
Permit students to read, discuss and understand literature in mathematics education research.
How to plan and carry out empirical studies.
How to analyse and formulate the results. Defence procedures.
Independent work
Reading of literature related to master theses, constructing the theoretucal frame of master study, analyse of empirical data.

Students are able to
-plan and carry out their master study
-formulate theoretical frame of the study
-analyse, interprete and formulate the results
Assessment methods
Pass-fail assessment based on seminar presentations and pre-defence.
