Course aims
Create the understanding of the patterns of early embryonic development and development of body organs in the different groups of organisms (including human)
Brief description of the course
Gametogenesis, ontogeny, parthenogenesis, metamorphosis and regeneration in different organism’s groups
Cell cycle; meiosis and mitosis
Constitution and development of tissues and organs
Sexual and asexual reproduction
Life expectancy
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has skill to describe the gametogenesis;
- has skill to describe the phases of organism’s development;
- has capability to understand the regulation mechanisms of individual’s development;
- has capability to explain the different mechanisms of sexual and asexual reproduction;
- has capability to distinguish and explain the factors have the influence on the life expectancy.
