Course aims

Expanding specific vocabulary related to study area, improving reading skills of specific texts and developing conversation and listening skills.

Brief description of the course

Integrated development of the proficiency of English for Specific Purposes English. Acquisition of professional language by familiarising with English terminology in professional context.
Aimed levels of general English: reading C1.1, listening and speaking C1.1, writing C1.1. Prerequisite for registration is proficiency in English at B2.2 level.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can understand speeches and presentations on specific professional topic;
- understands terminology in the written text;
- uses specific terminology in discussions and writings;
- is able to use complex language structures.
