Course aims

Expanding specific vocabulary related to study area, improving reading skills of specific texts and developing conversation and listening skills.

Brief description of the course

Integrated development of the proficiency of English for Specific Purposes. Acquisition of professional language by familiarising with English terminology in professional context. Aimed levels of general English : reading B2, listening and speaking B2, writing B2. Prerequisite for registration is proficiency in English at B1.2 level.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can understand the general ideas in speeches and presentations on specific professional topic;
- recognises terminology in the written text;
- uses specific terms in discussions and writings;
- is able to use more complex language structures.
