Course aims
Form valuing attitude for work with children with special needs in context of inclusive education;
Create opportunities for forming knowledge about students with special educational needs and supporting them;
Form readiness for conscious action of professional work based on ethical beliefs that is based on selecting and conceptualising of necessary information.
Brief description of the course
Philosophical bases and principles of inclusive education; overview of the classification of educational special needs and diagnostic principles; learner-centered curriculas; individual curriculum preparation and organazing of child´s obseravtion and study; inclusive school as an agreement between teachers, students and community.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to distinguish and describe specificity due to special needs of developing and implement primary start-up co-operation principles with different support specailists;
- is able to implement substance-related teaching principles according to student´s needs;
- is able to link the ideas of inclusive education with school reality and knows general educational policy trends in context of special needs;
- is able to formulate, present and argue appropriate positions from own point of view.
