Course aims

The objective of the course is to introduce a free website hosting service and to provide theoretical knowledge and practical skills for planning, building, launching and managing a website. At the end of the course, students are expected to present a portfolio website.

Brief description of the course

In this course, the students
- choose topics for the portfolio website;
- identify website requirements and process documentation;
- set up a simple website using a template;
- edit the content with texts and images;
- plan content creation;
- launch a website, review legal aspects and management.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- can choose suitable topics for the portfolio website;
- can find out website requirements;
- can create a plan and analyze existing websites;
- can make modifications on the website;
- can edit a website with texts and images;
- can identify the legal and security aspects.
