Course aims

Form systematic knowledge about the different theories and models of personality and intellectual abilities.

Brief description of the course

Psychodynamic approach. Humanistic approach. Cognitive-behavioural approach. Trait approach. The problems of studying of the intellectual abilities. Models of the intellectual abilities, psychophysical and cognitive approaches.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the main theories of personality psychology;
- knows the models of intellectual abilities;
- knows about applying the concepts of personality and intellectual abilities in describing and explaining behavior.
