Course aims

To acquire knowledge of technical graphics and to learn to depict three-dimensional objects in drawings. The subject is a prerequisite for the course on computer graphics and other subjects of the field of techniques and technology.

Brief description of the course

Technical design and its types. Using Monges method to treat a point, a line and a plane. Intersection of planes and polyhedrons, rotating planes. Constructing a development. Instruments of technical drawing. Geometrical constructions. Drawings of two-dimensional details. Techniques of depicting three-dimensional details. Axonometric and projection drawing. Three views. Sections. Dimensioning of details. Sketches and work drawings. Assembly drawings. Schemes. The specific features of didactics of teaching technical graphics.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about technical graphics;
- has ability to depict three-dimensional objects in drawings.
