Course aims
To support the development of knowledge of the basis of general didactics, and the development of primary skills needed to plan, analyse and develop a learning process that supports the development of the student.
Brief description of the course
Learning approaches, curriculum and didactics. Environment that supports learning and development. The role and tasks of the teacher in creating a learning environment that supports development.
The importance of and opportunities to support the basic psychological needs of students (autonomy, competence and affiliation). The teaching style of the teacher and the inclusion of students. Autonomy and structuralisation as important components of a learning environment that supports learning. Planning a learning process that supports the basic needs and growth mindset of students - from learning output to giving feedback, principles and opportunities. Evaluation that supports learning, the role of the teacher in giving feedback that supports the growth mindset. The role and opportunities of the teacher in supporting learning competences (general competences). Learning assignments and methods. The teacher as the researcher and developer of their work.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is aware of the principles of general didactics and their implementation principles for designing a learning environment that is activating and supports learning;
- sets goals, plans and gives feedback on the learning process, taking into account the students and the objectives of the learning activities;
- analyses the purposefulness and rationality of the learning process, learning assignments and choice of methods, based on theory.
