Course aims
Give an overview of the subject human studies on the first level of school and its teaching methodology. Guarantee the student’s readiness to plan, prepare and conduct interesting and developing lessons of human studies.
Brief description of the course
The evolvement of human studies, its place in the curriculum of the first school level, its objectives and content. Realizing the general didactic principles in the subject of human studies.
Key themes: Me, me and health, me and us. Ralations between me and environs. Behavioral norms and their connection with needs and rights of other people of the same age. Management in social environment. Security and dangers to that. Provision of traffic security. Information and things. Me and my native country.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has an overview of the objectives, contents and properties of the subject of human studies;
- is able to apply the main principles of didactics planning and preparing lessons of human studies at the first stage of school.
- is familiar with most used teaching methods of teaching human studies, are critical, flexible and creative while choosing them.
