Course aims

To introduce the recent research as well as the best practice in managing digital innovations in organisation

Brief description of the course

Innovation: key concepts, types, models. Digital innovation policies in Estonian and EU: strategies, reports, programs, grants. Research and digital innovation. Creativity, ideas and design thinking as front-end of innovation. Acceptance and diffusion of innovations in organisation. Innovation maturity. Learning organisation, knowledge creation, technology transfer and Living Labs. Creating and implementing a digital innovation strategy for an organisation. Portfolio management. IPR. Innovation audit.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- explains the key concepts and models of innovation;
- analyses the key innovation policies & programs in Estonia/EU;
- analyses innovation maturity of an organisation;
- composes a digital innovation strategy for an organisation;
- analyses digital innovation portfolio and IPR protection of a specific organisation.

Neli kontaktpäeva (loeng+seminar+praktikum) kombineeritud veebipõhise õppega (arutelud, rühmatööd ja individuaalülesanded Moodle keskkonnas)

Hindamisele pääsemise tingimuseks on kahe individuaalse ja ühe rühmatöö esitamine enne eksamit.
Kordushindamise sooritamise tingimuseks on võlgnevuste kõrvaldamine kokkuleppel õppejõuga.
