To create opportunities for acquainting oneself with the ICT companies or companies using ICT in large extent, their profiles, working methods, staff development and other related aspects. To support learners in specifying their interests in the subject field.
Brief description of the course
The course is organized as seminars, in which representatives of various companies and organizations discuss the following topics: identifying the market niche, product development, marketing, staff development, choosing collaboration partners, innovation management, strategical planning, occurring problems, positive experiences, lessons learned.
Seminars take place according to the presenters and topics proposed by the companies. The students register for the course when they have attended the required number of seminars and written seminar diaries.
As an independent work, the students write a short seminar diary (1000...2000 characters) after each seminar.
Learning outcomes in the course
Describes general development perspectives and main challenges of ICT-related companies in the Estonian context;
Defines specific personal interests in the subject field.
For the assessment, students have to attend 8 seminars and present seminar diaries about the attended seminars.
