Course aims

To give the overview of theoretical backround of the event management and the main types of events. To provide knowledge about the processes and the resources of event management. To give overview about the marketing of evens. To analyze different event projects.

Brief description of the course

Concept, history, types and forms of events. Basic processes of event management. Planning and production. Basic resources of event management. Event venues. Legal aspects of events. Safety. Marketing of events.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the basic process of event management and describes the phases of the process;
- is able to plan and produce events on basic level;
- can analyse different types of events.
