Course aims
To provide students practical experience at different levels of event management. Establish links between theory and practice. Refer to event organizing institutions and switch to their organizational work. Analyze the tasks carried out during the practice and analyze student's suitability and readiness to work in the field of event management. Establish contacts with potential employers.
Brief description of the course
Practice will take place in event management organizations at various stages. Practice is held according to practice’s guideline document approved by recreation management department, in the five-part system and on three levels. Including the practice of professional instruction, individual report, analysis and presentation at practice’s seminar. Comparative analysis of qualifications and professional practices will be made. Practice takes place on an ongoing basis during the studies.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to implement the principle process of organizing events at the various stages of different events;
- is able to plan and organize events for various target groups;
- is able to analyze the different stages in the organization of events.
