Course aims
A subject of the teacher training program. To introduce methods of Russian language skills evaluation, features of teaching at high school (gymnasia) level, cultural aspects of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
Brief description of the course
Evaluating pupils’ skills and knowledge. Final examination on Russian. State examination on Russian. Making a language comprehension test. Forcasting typical mistakes, error prevention. Features of high school (gymnasia) stage. Cultural aspect of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Literary text in a foreign language class. Aims of individual learning material, using tips. Making plans for a learning course (cycle).
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- comprehends the role of the linguo-cultural aspect while teaching Russian as a foreign language;
- is able to use linguo-cultural material while preparing for Russian as a foreign language classes;
- knows basic methods of skills’ assessment;
- knows Russian (as a foreign language) final and state examinations’ contents and structure;
- is able to use educational technology in teaching Russian as a foreign language;
- knows specific traits in teaching Russian as a foreign language at high school (gymnasia) level;
- is able to forecast educational difficulties and needs while making teaching materials at different school levels.
