Course aims
Support understanding space-time evolution of the modern physical picture of the world;
To support in-depth understanding of the development of modern astronomy and astrophysics and their goals through general relativity.
Brief description of the course
Tensors and vectors. Minkowski spacetimes. Lorentz transformations. Metric tensor. Riemann and Ricci tensors. The energy-momentum tensor in spacetimes curve. Schwartzschildi spacetime. Friedmann spacetime. Evolution of the universe, this is confirmed by observations. Weak gravity fields, linearized theory of gravity.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Basic introduction about general relativit, the mathematical apparatus;
Basic knowledge about general relativity observational confirmation conclusion;
In-depth knowledge about cosmology rely onf modern physical theory.
