Course aims
To create opportunities for managing and supporting learning,
training and development processes in a public, private and third
sector organisations;
To create prerequisites for the analyses of Estonian non-formal
learning market and for planning a training company and running the
training process as a service provider.
Brief description of the course
Learning, training and development processes in an organisation.
Creating a learning culture and supporting staff development.
Managing the learning and development (L&D) strategy and
processes.
The role of the L&D professionals/positions, competences and
development opportunities. Training regulations in the public,
private and third sectors.
Training companies on the Estonian training market. Types of non-
formal learning providers. Possibilities of setting up a training
company. Training process and client training needs analyses as a
service provider.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows and understands the meaning of learning, training, training and development processes, supports learning culture in an organisation;
- plans the activities of the learning, training and development process in the context of a specific organisation;
- has researched Estonian non-formal learning market;
- understands how to create and run a training company.
