Course aims

To develop thinking and deepen mathematical knowledge. To gain a systematised overview of the main aspects of school mathematics.

Brief description of the course

Percentage calculation in school mathematics. Arithmetic and algebraic expressions and their indifference transductions. Exponentiation and rooting. The definition and classification of an equation. The equivalence of equations. Proportional and inverse distribution. Geometric shapes and constructs. Shapes - prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone, sphere.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is familiar with and knows how to use that connected to the concept of percentages;
- is capable of doing calculations and conversions with arithmetic and algebraic expressions;
- knows the definitions and main characteristics of equations and power inequality;
- can solve problem tasks;
- is familiar with and can explain the concepts of descriptive statistics;
- is familiar with geometric shapes and geometric bodies.
