Course aims
The course aims at developing sensitivity towards the poetics of an artistic text that has determined its linguistic structure.
Brief description of the course
Lectures on the poetic devices alternate with seminars. All students have to present a seminar paper analysing a published translation.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- can estimate the poetic structure of an artistic text in the contexts of the source and the receiving culture.
