Course aims
Offer an opportunity to form a clear understanding about the latest achievements and problems of international research on the area developed at the institute as well as skills of composing and delivering of a scientific presentation and organising scientific events.
Brief description of the course
This is not a regular course, but the course requirements will be fulfilled by participating in
the following activities:
1. Participating in two of the “DTI PhD Winter Camps” organised annually in January/February and giving presentations about the progress in the PhD in each of these
Or
2. Participating in one of the “DTI PhD Winter Camps” and giving a presentation, and contributing to the organisation of one Winter Camp (e.g. by taking over the organisation of one of the sessions, or being member of the organisation committee and taking over one specific role).
In case participation in the Winter Camp is not possible, a presentation can also be scheduled at a different time during the semester by the course lecturer. The presentation will then be announced in the School at least 2 weeks before the date to ensure sufficient participation.
Students should register for this course in the semester in which they are completing all requirements.
