Course aims

Offer an opportunity to acquire skills for performing academic activities in the university.

Brief description of the course

To complete this course a student needs to complete at least three of the following academic activities:
1) teaching a course or part of a course;
2) supervising or co-supervising BA or MA thesis;
3) taking over one task or contributing to a deliverable in an R&D project;
4) contributing actively to the preparation of one R&D grant proposal;
5) contributing to the organization of an academic conference or workshop;
6) performing one outreach activity (e.g. collaborating with industry, conducting a training session or science communication activity connected to own research conducted).

After completion of at least three of these, the student prepares a short report, including for each item a short reflection on what they learned, and submits it to the supervisor.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is capable to actively participate and contribute to academic activities at the university.
