Course aims
To offer opportunity to learn about basic group processes and acquire the knowledge and experience of group work methods.
Brief description of the course
Group methods are widely used in learning and working
environments. Participants will get knowledge of the basic concepts and models of group structure and development and first hand
experience in variety of group work methods:
1. Circle
2. Brainstorming
3. Open Space Technology
4. World Cafe
Independent work
1. Test.
2. Written reflections on group work experience.
3. Reports on group work results.
Learning outcomes in the course
Participants will acquire:
1. Knowledge of the basic concepts and models of group functioning
2. Skills of applying the basic concepts for observation and analysis of groups
3. Knowledge of group work methods
4. Knowledge of limits of group work methods
5. First hand experience with group work methods as group
