Course aims

To develop students' musical hearing by distinguishing, naming and performing different sound lines and harmonies by singing orally and on a piano-based approach.

Brief description of the course

To develop musical memory and hearing with oral memory dictations, intervals,and chords by naming and singing them. Hearing and singing different modes (diatonic, chromatic and full tone). Smaller groups also play all the activities on the piano.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to sing and to play on the piano different intervals, chords and musical modes (diatonic, chromatic and full tone).
