Course aims
Stabilizing of student's musical ear, rhythm and harmony perception and musical memory. Ensure their skills to write by ear 2–3-part tonal music and train their sight singing abilities.
Brief description of the course
Writing 2-part homophic and polyphonic, including temporarily modulating and modulating dictats. Solfege of 2-, 3- and 4-part exercises. Analysis and writing of 4-part chord progressions, including temporary modulations/modulations.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
The students are able to write simple 2-part dictats with different textures including temporary mdulations/modulations; are able to sing multipart exercises (one voice singing, the other accompanying with piano); are able to analyse and write 4-part chord progressions including temporary modulations/modulations.
