Course aims

The development of necessary practical skills for creating a meaningful artistic composition.

Brief description of the course

Drawing: Narrative and illustrative drawing, social and cultural context of drawing. Using different styles and techniques according to the theme/topic. Focus on individual expression and creativity.
Painting: Composing a whole on a compehensive and free theme.
Figurative composition.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has skills to apply an individual mode of expression and create original solutions;
- is able to express and articulate the choices and preferences when justifying choices regarding composition in art;
- is able to use former painting experience in painting composition;
- is able to erect and solve an individual painting task.
