Course aims

The aim is to give knowledge on basic types of Japanese essays.

Brief description of the course

During the lessons, a student will learn to write three basic types of Japanese essays – description, book report, and opinion statement. The vocabulary, grammatical expressions and structure of each type of essay will be learned.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the vocabulary, grammatical expressions and structure of Japanese three basic types of essays (description, book report, opinion statement);
- is able to write these three types of essays in Japanese;
- knows the rules of writing on Japanese manuscript paper.
