Students who have not graduated from upper secondary schools where Estonian is the language of instruction, or who have graduated from schools where Estonian is only partly the language of instruction, are required to have Estonian language proficiency at C1 level.

Is able to define the specific characteristics of different periods and compare them based on different sources. Is mastering the basic facts and is able to use it. When having completed the module the student will have a core knowledge of Estonian history from the Viking age up to contemporary times. Is able to orientate in the history of the neighbouring countries, especially during periods important for Estonian history. Is able to perceive Estonian history in the context of the European and Baltic Sea region. Has the ability to teach history up to the end of 9th grade.
