Course aims
1. Create opportunities for the implementation and development of subject and pedagogical competences in the school environment through supervised practice;
2. To support the development of the teacher's professional identity in cooperation between school and university;
3. To support the professional development of the student through feedback and self-analysis, and to develop readiness for lifelong professional development.
Brief description of the course
The student shall observe and analyze the classes of Physical Education conducted by subject teachers and fellow- students, perform the duties of a teacher of Physical Education and those of a class teacher, analyze the activities of his own. The student shall supervise the extracurricular sport activities of young learners; he shall perform at least one extracurricular sport activity.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to take into account educational goals, national and school curricula when planning the learning and educational process, creates connections between different subjects and subject areas when teaching, follows the basic principles of professional ethics;
- uses knowledge, vocabulary and methods, including educational technology solutions, that are correct in terms of the subject matter and appropriate to the learner's specific characteristics and age, when carrying out the learning and educational process;
- links pedagogical knowledge with subject knowledge in the learning process, adapts the learning process to the needs of learners;
- analyses the possibilities of cooperation to support the learner's development in the school and the role of the class teacher in the learning-education process;
- analyzes the learning and educational process and their own activities according to the planned goals and basic documents, and is able to plan further activities based on this.
