Course aims
1.To create opportunities for the implementation and development of subject and pedagogical competences in the school environment through supervised practice;
2.To support the development of the teacher's professional identity in cooperation between school and university;
3. To support the professional development of the student through feedback and self-analysis.
Brief description of the course
The student shall watch and analyse the classes of Physical Education given by the subject teachers and other students, he shall prepare and perform the classes of Physical Education and analyse his activities as a teacher of Physical Education. The student shall supervise the learners in their extra-curricular sport activities and shall train them for a sport show.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- in cooperation with the supervisor, plans the learning process on the basis of the national and school curriculum, sets learning objectives based on the learner, selects appropriate learning content and teaching methods and feedback methods, integrating different subjects and subject areas;
- demonstrates the application of subject knowledge in the teaching process, uses correct subject terminology in the learning process and educational technology solutions;
- when conducting the learning process, connects pedagogical knowledge with subject knowledge, suggests ways to adapt the learning process based on the needs of the learners;
- applies the acquired knowledge and skills when performing internship tasks, demonstrating creativity, initiative, sense of responsibility, team management skills, knowledge of the specialty syllabus and the national curriculum, and follows the basic principles of professional ethics;
- copes with changing situations, is able to find solutions in critical situations;
- assesses their own development needs through a thorough analysis of self-study and practice lessons and supports the development needs of learners by differentiating activities based on the learner's needs and skills-abilities, as well as the learner's internal motivation;
- in cooperation with supervisors, analyses the learning and educational process, reflects on his/her own professional development and, on this basis, plans further activities during the second placement.
