Course aims
To support students’ skills in communication with (future) kindergarten people as a PE teacher.
Enable the student to get experience and develop as a PE teacher (i.e. learn how to conduct physical and health education activities and experience the PE teacher’s work).
Intensifying the knowledge and skills necessary for PE teacher’s work and self-education in the area of teaching children.

Brief description of the course
Realisation the work as a PE teacher, intensifying the skills in work with children at different ages and with special needs, intensifying the skills of planning, conducting and analysing indoor and outdoor physical activities, developing cooperation skills. Evaluating children’s development (written) and giving feedback to the teachers and parents (oral). Planning and conducting one event connected with physical and health education during the practice.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- Can analyse and critically evaluate the level of his/her theoretical knowledge and practical skills
- While conducting learning and educational activities uses correct subject-related knowledge, activities, vocabulary and methods which are appropriate for the child’s peculiarity and age
- Analyses learning and educational activities in cooperation with the supervisors and his/her activity according to the intended purpose and source documents, is able to draw up his/her further activities based on the analysis.
- Feels confident as a teacher of physical education.
