Course aims
Overview of Time Management know-how, developed to increase individual and group efectiveness.
Brief description of the course
Rapid growth of requirements on individuals and groups during the past half century has led to demand for the acceleration of effectiveness. This demand has given growth to specific know-how called Time Management (TM).
TM has gone through development from „to do lists“ to „priority management“ categorized as „four generations of TM development“. The latter generations focusing more on reflecting on individual's and group's values and beliefs as basis of everyday choices and time using habits.
As higher demands on effectiveness bring more stress on individuals, the TM know-how includes also tools for coping with stress. Most impressive is the „slow down“ movement, acquiring wide popularity.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- knows the main Time Management concepts;
- has udnerstanding of the development of Time Management approaches;
- is able to analyse their time use;
- knows how to implement the TM know-how to keep their activities sustainable.
