Course aims

To support the linkage between a didactic knowledge and the school reality; provide the students with the ability of communicating with the school community as a (prospective) teacher; offer students chances to get experience and develop professionally as a teacher of Handicraft and Home Economics.

Brief description of the course

Teaching practice I offer students to get experience as a teacher of Handicraft and Home Economics in school context. The student shall watch and analyse the classes given by the subject teachers and/or other students, she shall prepare and perform the classes of Handicraft and Home Economics and analyse her activities as a teacher of these subjects.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- understands the associations between the school reality and has the knowledge of subject-specific didactics acquired on the course;
- understands the role of professional knowledge, has skills and values in the development of a learner, applying effectively the teaching methodology as being aware of the subject content.
