Course aims
Create opportunities for the application and development of subject-related and pedagogical competences in the school environment through guided teaching practice. To support students' acquisition of identity formation in cooperation between school and university. To support the further development of the student as a learner and teacher through feedback and self-analysis.
Brief description of the course
Basic teaching practice II for the handicraft and home economics student teachers allows to practically experience the role of a handicraft and home economics teacher in a real school environment. During the practice, the student prepares and practically conducts handicraft and home economics lessons based on the acquired professional and didactic knowledge and the experiences of the previous practices. The student also participates in monitoring the the work of the teacher responsible for the class and organizing extracurricular activity.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- is able to see the links between the previously acquired knowledge, the experiences through the teaching practice and the school reality;
- uses appropriate teaching/learning methods, considering the topic, objectives for the lesson and the age of the learners;
- analyzes and education process of their activities in accordance with the intended objectives and the underlying documents, is able to plan further action on this basis, compile the development takes into account the practice of informal substantive and formal requirements;
- complies with the rules of courtesy and always guided by a teacher of ethics, practice makes cooperation with supervisors and others related to the practice of people;
- is able to follow different practices in schools.
