Course aims

To acquire knowledge and practical skills for preparing creative tasks in technology lessons at the 2nd and 3rd level of basic school. Give the students the opportunity to solve technical creative tasks on their own.

Brief description of the course

The meaning of technical creation and construction in our daily lives, connections with other subjects. Relation of technical creation and construction to technical literacy. Principles of choosing materials, the way of processing and tools for solving creative tasks. Use of innovative materials in technical creation. Environmentally friendly attitude through design and creative activities. Functionality, aesthetics and level of finishing of the solution of the technical creative task. Solving practical tasks.

Learning outcomes in the course

Upon completing the course the student:
- has ability to independently compile simple tasks that develop technical intelligence;
- has ability to design and manufacture innovative work objects and tools suitable for students.

Additional information

The student does practical independent work during practicum classes and during independent work. The work with the theoretical material takes place online after the lectures.
The exam consists of submitting practical work and tasks solved as independent work. In the oral part of the exam, feedback is given on the issues related to the lecture material and practical tasks.
