Course aims
To create preconditions for the acquisition of knowledge about defining, appearing and promoting creativity. To teach the ability to analyse the nature and manifestations of creativity in different fields or art (dance, visual arts, music).
Brief description of the course
The basis of defining creativity. Types of creativity. The physiological basis of creativity. Creative process. A creative person. Motivation and creativity. Developing creativity. Creativity and health. Cognition and creativity. Senses, time space. Imagination as a trigger of creative processes. Constructive inspiration. Manifestations of creativity in contemporary art. Contemporary visual arts in relation to other creative spheres.

Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
- has knowledge about definitions of creativity;
- has ability to analyse the nature of creativity and its manifestations in given areas of activity and in everyday life;
- has ability to notice and define different creative manifestations in different domains of arts.
