Course aims
Create the preconditions for acquiring the concepts and theoretical knowledge of creativity and understanding the expressions of creativity through the expressive forms of creative dancing, visual arts and musical creativity.
Brief description of the course
Bases of defining creativity. Theories of creativity. Physiological bases of creativity. The creative process. Forms of creativity expression in modern dance art. The main concepts of creative dance expression, analysis of movement language, analysis of form. Analysis of emergence and development of modern dance during the 20th century. The myth of creativity reinforced during romanticism and its role in art history. Totalitarian systems and forcing old canons upon creativity. Postmodernism and the new conception of creativity. Creation and forms of expression of music, developments in music creation and influential factors by the example of stages of music history and creations of prominent composers. Inspiration and composers’ working techniques, improvisation in the context of sound creation process.
