Course aims
To create preconditions for the acquisition of theoretical knowledge related to creativity in learning and teaching. To teach techniques supporting the manifestation of creativity in different subjects in pupils and teachers.
Brief description of the course
Creativity and motivation in the learning environment. The connection between creativity and aptitude. Researching and assessing creativity in a school classroom. Social psychology of creativity at school. Methods supporting the manifestation of creativity in pupils and teachers (practical sessions). Creativity in the context of teaching humanities and sciences. Creativity in relation with personality development, rehabilitation, health. Independent work: work with compulsory reading and related discussions at seminars, testing the methods during practical sessions.
Learning outcomes in the course
Upon completing the course the student:
Ability to analyse the essence of creativity and its manifestation in the learning environment; Ability to consciously support their own and children’s creativity manifestations in school environment;
Skill of combining the teaching of a certain subject with the techniques of creative thinking and problem solving.
